JOHN 16:33
These things I have spoke to you, that in me you may have
peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have
overcome the world. (NKJV)
I have recently been asking God, what to do with all the
emotions I am experiencing regarding these horrible acts of violence that are
all over the news. In so many parts of the world there is wickedness and
violence and my heart is grieved for all of the people affected. Sometimes it
just feels like it’s too much. Then I was prompted to remember this scripture
in John, when Jesus was talking. Even though it’s hard, we have to remember
that nothing surprises God and I find great comfort in our Saviors words. So I am going to grab onto His peace and try
to be of good cheer.
This is a song from Casting Crowns and the lyrics were
shared by a friend the other day and have made a deep impact in my thoughts, so
I thought I would share this song with you.
“ so when you’re on your knees and the answers seem so far
away
you are not alone, stop holding on and just be held
your worlds not
falling apart, it’s falling into place
I’m on the throne, stop holding on and just be held
Just be held, just be held.”
